STAN NAGAIAH TROPHY - Singapore whitewash Malaysia 3-0

06 May 08. The 3-month training stint in Perth, Australia paid rich dividends for Chetan Suryawanshi as he churned out the runs in Singapore’s 3-0 win over Malaysia in the Stan Nagaiah series in Kuala Lumpur from 2-4 May 2008.

Surwanshi scored 84, 79 and 88 in his 3 matches, showing an improved batting performance. He was supported by skipper Chaminda Ruwan, who made 70, 81 and 8 in his outings. Among the wicket-takers Syed Ali, Shoib Razak, Chaminda Ruwan and Dharmichand Mulewa made meaningful contributions. Chaminda got 3 wickets in the 1st match.
